A 30-year-old man and a lady have been arrested over the death of his girlfriend in Bauchi.

According to Vanguard, Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Haruna Mohammed, who confirmed the incident to newsmen in Bauchi, said the deceased, known as Iklima Alhassan, aged 28, and an indigene of Bukuru village in Plateau State, visited her boyfriend, Nasiru, who resides at Rafin Makaranta area, behind Awala Hotel in Bauchi.

He said trouble started when the deceased met another lady, Fatima Baba Isa, 22, of Makera ward in her boyfriend’s apartment, a situation that allegedly resulted in a fight between the two women.

President Mohammadu Buhari has announced that there would be no federal government delegation for this year’s hajj in Saudi Arabia.This is in a move to cut costs.He however stated that the government shall play its traditional roles of providing consular, medical and security services to Nigerian pilgrims.

Vanguard reports that, with the decision, the government is expected to save about $1 million and N30m in local expenses.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu who stated this on Monday quoted the president as saying that the decision was not targeted at any individual or group.
He also stated that States were at liberty to sponsor their pilgrims, if they so desired.

“The states can deal with that (meaning appointment of own delegations) but this year at the Center, we will not be involved” Shehu said.

A 30-year-old man, Richard Effiok, on Monday confessed to stabbing his girlfriend after three rounds of sex.

Effiok, who identified his deceased girlfriend as Bassey Udoh (23), said the incident happened on May 22, 2015, at Nelson Mandela Street in Calabar, Cross River State.

Father rapes daughter twice to check her virginity status(Photos)

A 48-year old man, Adeboye Waheed was paraded by the Lagos state police command for defiling his 14-year-old daughter (names withheld) to check her virginity status at Adama Araro Street in Ikorodu area of the state.

The victim, an SS1 student of Araromi Isoju Grammar School in Ikorodu, who lived with her father, step mother and four siblings, revealed that she was defiled twice with a condom.

Narrating her ordeal to journalists, she said,

14 mourners killed in Ebonyi Auto Crash

No fewer than 14 persons died yesterday in a road accident at Amasiri Secondary School junction of the Afikpo-Okigwe federal road in Afikpo South LGA of Ebonyi State.
The tragedy which occurred at midnight involved an articulated vehicle and a 14-seater bus conveying members of the Assemblies of God Church, Isu in Ohaoazara Local Government Area from a burial.
According to the SUN,Mr Roland Ogbuke, Afikpo Unit Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), confirmed the accident to our reporter.
He said:

The Miss Bum Bum Brazil 2015 saw women flock to Sao Paulo to take part in an annual pageant which judges them on their behinds.
The contestants stopped traffic as they posed in the middle of Sao Paulo's main avenue, Avenida Paulista.

A 29-year-old fashion designer, Okechukwu Kingsley Ajaero was apprehended by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for being in possession of forty-four (44) wraps of cocaine weighing 850grammes.
Ajaero was arrested at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) Lagos during the inward screening of passengers on a Qatar Airline flight.He excreted all 44 wraps of cocaine.

According to NDLEA Airport commander Hamza Umar,the trafficker who hails from Abia state, said he was coming from Sao Paulo with cocaine.

Looks like the interest in Caitlyn Jenner is waning as ratings for her reality series I Am Cait plummeted for the show’s second episode.
According to Entertainment Weekly,Sunday’s hour had only 1.3 million viewers, a drop of more than 50 percent from the show’s premiere.

Robber caught stealing church offering the 3rd time

A suspected church robber, Ehiosun Junior, was caught during an alleged attempt to make away with church offerings during its annual thanksgiving.
The Pastor in charge of the church, Christ Apostolic Church, Rev. Igbinigie Anthony, said the alleged thief had broken into the church on three previous occasion and made away with cash amounting to N52, 000.

The cleric told the court that because he had a premonition that the thief would return to steal the thanksgiving collections, he and the church’s Youth President, who was simply identified as Okoh, decided to sleep in the church.
