21-year old goes missing after visiting friends in Ogun(Photo)

A 21-year-old tiling apprentice, Kamilu Salaudeen, has gone missing after reportedly visiting some friends in the Mowe area of Ogun State.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the victim lived with a relative in the Oniyanrin, Mile 12 area of Lagos State, while his parents were based in Osogbo, the Osun State capital.

Salaudeen was said to have left Mile 12 two months ago, saying he was going to see his friends in Mowe.

A relative, Kabiru Yinusa, told our correspondent that he had since become unreachable, adding that he also left his phone behind.Yinusa said the family had gone to many police stations in Ogun State, but could not find him.

His parents in Osogbo were also said to be unaware of his whereabouts.He said,

Outrage as Police fail to arrest man parading ISIS flag around UK Parliament(Photos)

There has been outrage after a man who paraded past the Houses of Parliament draped in an Islamic State flag with a young girl on his shoulders ,was allowed to walk free by police.

In images posted on a Korean forum,the man could be seen walking the little girl waving a smaller version of the jihadist group's flag just days before the anniversary of the 7/7 terror attacks.

UK Police confirmed that they stopped the man in the busy tourist area on Saturday, but did not arrest him as his actions were deemed 'within the law'.

Two brave media activists have been executed by ISIS.The terror group released a graphic video of their interrogation and brutal execution in an attempt to deter other activists in the Syrian city.

The media activists are named as Bashar Abdul Atheem and Faisal Hasan Al Habib, local residents in Raqqa..

In the video, the two young men are accused of being 'informants' and were allegedly caught handing out anti-Shariah leaflets in ISIS's de-facto capital city, Raqqa.

Incredible images have emerged of a baby being rescued from the open ocean after she floated a kilometre out to sea when her parents forgot they left her in the water.

The Ilgın family went to the public beach in the town of Küçükkuyu on Friday, where they placed 10 month old Melda on a flotation device and left her in the water nearby.

Inspiring story -Homeless man finds $2,400,returns it and refused $5000 cash reward

This is an unbelievably inspiring story..A homeless man in Langford, British Columbia, found $2,400 on the street and subsequently turned the money in, so that the rightful owner could be found. After the owner was found, people were moved by the homeless man's honesty that they set up a fundraising page on Go Fund Me and over $5,000 was raised ..According to a press release from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Constable Alex Bérubé said,

"After hearing this story and seeing how this case touched so many people, I took a personal interest in finding this man, looking for him everywhere while on and off shift. It's not easy tracking down a person of no fixed address and no phone, but I kept trying because I needed to tell him about how the community had rallied together to help him."

Bérubé's found the man and told him the incredible news about the funds that awaited him that were raised by strangers online.But instead of asking how he could cash in, he asked how he could give back.

"His response surprised me yet again, when instead of asking how to collect it, he asked me how to donate it to Our Place and other food service providers for people in need."

Taiwan's Aviation Safety Council (ASC) said in its latest report on Thursday that Liao mistakenly switched off the plane's only working engine seconds before it .The report also showed that Captain Liao Jian-zong had failed simulator training in May 2014, in part because he had insufficient knowledge of how to deal with an engine flame-out on take-off.

There appeared to be confusion in the cockpit as the two captains tried to regain control of the plane after one engine lost power about three minutes into the doomed flight.

The motorised boat which crushed the canoe conveying some pupils in Irewe, Ojo, Lagos State, killing six of them, was carrying stolen fuel, PUNCH Metro has learnt.

The traditional ruler of the area, Osolo of Irewe, Oba Abduldeen Durosimi, told our correspondent at his palace on Thursday that the schoolchildren were victims of illegal oil bunkering going on at the Takwa Bay area.

On Wednesday, some 14 schoolchildren who were in a canoe en route to their schools in Irewe fell into a river after the motorised boat crashed into their canoe.

While eight of the children were rescued alive, six of them drowned.

The victims were identified as Jonathan Fiankyu, Nelson Fiankyu, Josephine Ajigbo, Patience Ajigbo, Imonina Briget and Kayode Nathaniel.

The Rivers State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has accused Nyesom Wike,of squandering over N60 billion in his first 30 days as governor of the oil rich state.They broke down the expenditure to an average of N2 billion per day.
The accusations were laid down in a statement by Rivers APC Chairman, Dr. Davies Ibiamu Ikanya..
“In what is clearly a tale of the absurd, Wike’s rubber stamp State House of Assembly has approved a whopping sum of N30bn within 30 days for expenditure without any project attached.
“Apart from this N30bn, the administration of Rt. Hon. Chbuike Amaechi left the sum of N7.5bn, plus the N23bn released to the state from the Federation Account and Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), making the total funds available for Wike to squander over N60bn within 30 days,” Ikanya said.

“Wike has succeeded in turning Rivers state to one of the dirtiest states in Nigeria and one without security, he has also ensured that our people now sleep with one eye opened!”“The period of sharing Rivers State money among some unscrupulous politicians ceased since 2007 and cannot be reintroduced through the back door,” the party said.

Court orders NDLEA to pay man N2m

A Federal High Court in Lagos has ordered the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency to pay a sum of N2m to one Lawrence Ejiofor as compensation for his prolonged and unlawful detention by the agency.

The applicant, through his lawyer, Dr. Chima Nnaji, had approached Justice Mohammed Yunusa, seeking a declaration that his detention by the two agencies for over 30 days without trial was unlawful.

He also prayed the court to order the NDLEA to return to him a sum of $96,500 confiscated from him at the airport while returning from a trip to Tanzania.

Nnaji had told the court that his client was arrested by operatives of the NDLEA for money laundering on April 16, 2015, on the suspicion that the money found on him was a proceed of drug-trafficking.

Last night, Boko Haram extremists killed almost 150 Nigerian Muslims praying in mosques before breaking their Ramadan fast.

According to witnesses, the militants mowed down men and children in three remote villages in the north-eastern Borno state yesterday - and shot women preparing food at home.

Gunmen killed at least 97 people in Kukawa, the worst-affected village, according to a local called 'Kolo' who said he had counted the bodies. A fisherman who saw the attack corroborated the figure.Kolo said:

‘They wiped out the immediate family of my uncle... They killed his children, about five of them, and set his entire house ablaze.’
